Lok Sabha Elections: Tinsel-town celebs who are all set for victory march

The 2019 Lok Sabha results are here and the Tsunamo wave has clearly taken over the country by storm. The Lok Sabha polls this time around saw a host of celebrities battle it out on the field in important constituencies across the country.Here are the ones who are all set to make inroads to the Upper house.
Hema Malini: Actor-turned-politician Hema Malini, the BJP candidate from Uttar Pradesh's Mathura, is leading in her constituency. The actress was seeking a second term from Mathura after serving the people for five years. She campaigned tirelessly and had husband Dharmendra also campaigning for her in the constituency.
Sunny Deol: Another surprising candidate, Sunny Deol left his fans shocked when he announced his candidature. The 'Border' star is BJP’s candidate from Gurdaspur and was leading by 68,946 votes against the Congress’ Punjab president Sunil Jhakhar. The actor has been candid about his knowledge of politics and has called himself a patriot who wants to work for his country.
Kirron Kher: The fiery judge on a reality show entered politics a while ago and has been BJP's candidate from Chandigarh. Kirron, who defeated the Congress in 2014 as well, was given a ticket for her “satisfactory performance as a first time MP”. She is leading by more than 5000 votes against Congress’ Pawan Kumar Bansal
Dev: Bengali superstar and Trinamool Congress candidate Deepak Adhikari (Dev) won West Bengal's Ghatal Lok Sabha seat, defeating his BJP rival and former IPS officer Bharati Ghosh. Dev defeated Ghosh by a margin of 107,973 votes.
Popular Bengali actress Mimi Chakraborty, who was contesting against the BJP's Anupam Hazra in Jadavpur, emmerged victorious.
Bengali actress Nusrat Jahan who contested the 2019 Lok Sabha elections with the TMC ticket from West Bengal's Basirhat constituency, has left behind BJP's Sayantan Basu. She made her cinema debut with 2011 Bengali film Shotru.
