Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday arrived in Tel Aviv on a three-day visit to Israel to commemorate 25 years of diplomatic relations between the two countries. On his arrival, PM Modi got a grand welcome at the Ben Gurion Airport in Israel.
Modi, the first Indian prime minister to visit the Jewish nation, was received at the Ben Gurion airport by Netanyahu who said in Hindi, “aapka swagat hai, mere dost” (welcome, my friend).

Behind the overt affection and friendship, lies deep political significance as India for the first time has delinked its relationship with Israel from its traditional support to Palestine. But, India now hopes to leverage its relationship with Israel to attract more investment, and gain from Israeli cutting-edge technology and defence.
"It is truly a historic visit," said Netanyahu whilewelcoming Modi who was wearing a cream colour 'band gala' suitand a dark blue handkerchief in the pocket.
They vowed to give a push to the bilateral relationshipin all aspects and jointly deal with the common threats liketerrorism.
