Congress president Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday made it clear that if the Congress wins majority in 2019, he will become the Prime Minister of India. Gandhi claimed that the BJP will not return to power in Karnataka and it was near to impossible for Modi to be re-elected as the PM. However, it is not going to be easy for both the Congress to get majority and Rahul Gandhi to become the Prime Minister. But the road to India's Prime Ministership will pass through the Karnataka elections.

Although, the Congress claimed to win the majority, it would be interesting to see what Rahul will do if the party fell short of the majority. So learning the art of managing allies will be a stiff challenge for the Congress president.

No doubt that Rahul Gandhi has started fetching large crowd in his rallies despite a series of negative campaign against him. But the Congress president will have to face Modi in 2019. And to be ready for that, he will need to connect with the people, especially the youth of the country.
