The whole of North India has been engulfed in a heavy blanket of fog. Further, the Delhi/NCR region has also been shrouded with smog leading to deteriorating air quality.
Officials from the regional pollution control board have claimed that stubble burning in states of Haryana and Punjab lead to smoggy weather conditions in the capital region.
Visibility has become low and 12 trains from Delhi are running late.
The air quality too has deteriorated to a vast extent and prominent pollutants PM 2.5 and PM 10 are in ‘poor’ category in Delhi’s Lodhi Road area.
Winter is setting in Northern India and apart from Delhi, Punjab too is facing a blanket of fog.
Commuters are facing a lot of difficulties in traveling due to decreased visibility.
