Total four terrorists killed in the operation. The Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi had severely condemned the terrorist attack at the army base camp in Uri, South Kashmir that unfolded in the early hours of the day.

Uri terror attack is the biggest attck on Indian army in this year. Special prayers were offered for the soldiers killed in the terror attack during Namaz in Lucknow.

"I am deeply disappointed with Pakistan’s continued and direct support to terrorism and terrorist groups”, said Home Minister Rajnath Singh. The Home Minister also said that there are definite & conclusive indications that perpetrators of Uri attack were highly trained, heavily armed and specially equipped.

Indian Army Chief General Dalbir Singh reaches Srinagar, to meet soldiers injured in Uri attack. General Singh will also analyse the security situation at army installations and camps near the Pakistan border in Jammu and Kashmir and also the alertness of the soldiers along the Line of Control (LoC)

After Uri terror attack, later in the day, DGMO Lt Gen Ranbir Singh called up his counterpart in Pakistan expressing "serious concerns" over Pakistani markings found on the equipment used by four "foreign" terrorists suspected to be belonging to Pakistan-based terror group JeM.
