The Congress on Thursday raised Vijay Mallaya issue in Parliament. The party attacked the Narendra Modi government and said it helped Mallaya leave the country for abroad. Earlier on Thursday, the Congress gave adjournment motion notice in Lok Sabha over Vijay Mallya issue. The liquor baron is facing legal proceedings for allegedly defaulting loans of over Rs 9,000 crores from various banks. The government had on Wednesday informed the Supreme Court that he had left the country a week back.
