Rahul Dravid once featured in an episode of MTV Bakra and here, the host tried to propose to the star batsman, to which he replied, "Focus on your studies first." It was a brilliant response to a tricky situation. If only Hardik Pandya and KL Rahul could have taken lessons from this episode.
Rahul Dravid was nicknamed 'Jammy' in addition to his moniker 'The Wall'. Dravid's father Sharad worked in Kissan Jams and he featured in an ad which became popular. It became so popular that a tournament called Jammy Cup is played to honour Rahul Dravid.
Rahul Dravid was not only a great cricketer, he was a thorough gentleman. Such was his popularity off the field that he became the only non-Australian to deliver the famous Sir Don Bradman Oration in Australia.
Rahul Dravid is also a UNICEF ambassador and has also become the brand ambassador for Bangalore Traffic Police. However, he also features in the anti-Tobacco campaign.
Rahul Dravid made his debut in the T20I against England at Manchester and also retired in the same game. He is the only player to achieve this feat.
