Samsung on Tuesday launched the Tizen-powered Samsung Z2 smartphone, priced at Rs. 4,590. It will be available in Black, Wine Red, and Gold colour variants. Samsung Z2 is to be precise, a repackaged version of the earlier Tizen Z1. Samsung claims that Z2 has been built from scratch by its R&D team in Bengaluru. The smartphone is the first 4G LTE smartphone from Samsung that runs Tizen OS. Earlier the device was rumoured to launch alongside Galaxy Note 7 in the first week of August. The latest version of Tizen OS enables users to unlock their phones using gesture unlock. They can also swipe upwards to switch between apps.
Z2 smartphone has Samsung Ultra Data Saving Mode that claims to save up to 40 percent data.
Samsung Z2 smartphone sport a 4-inch WVGA (480x800 pixels) display, and is powered by a 1.5GHz quad-core processor coupled with 1GB of RAM.
