Smartphone lovers are in for a surprise as Xiaomi is set to launch the Mi Max 2 in India in an event scheduled to take place on July 18 in New Delhi. The phone is the successor to Mi Max which was launched in 2016 and sports a massive 6.44-inch screen with full HD display. Apart from other editions of Xiaomi, it also has a 5300 mAh battery. Further, the amazing phone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor, has 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage. In China, its starting price is CNY 1,699 (roughly Rs. 16,100). Its price will be revealed in the Indian market after it's launch.
The Mi Max 2 runs on MIUI 8 based on Android Nougat and features a 12-megapixel rear camera with PDAF support and dual-LED flash which the company claims is identical to the Mi 6.
The phone's screen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 4. Mi Max features a metal unibody design and comes in two storage variants – 4GB RAM+64GB storage and 4GB RAM+128 GB internal storage.
The Xiaomi Mi Max 2 comes with Sony IMX386 sensor and 5MP front camera with 85-degree wide-angle lens and Beautify feature. Moreover, it also features stereo sound with a better sound quality for games, video consumption.
Xiaomi Mi Max 2 also has a fingerprint scanner on the front and there’s an IR Blaster as well. Moreover, it also uses Quick Charge 3.0 technology for charging along with Parallel charging.
