The first instance when the Master Blaster stamped his authority on the game. He became the first player to go past 500 runs in the tournament and his centuries against Sri Lanka and Kenya were a treat. Sri Lanka were boosted by the all-round exploits of Tillakaratne Dilshan in the 2011 World Cup. At the top, he laid the ideal platform for the team and it was evident in his demolition of England in the quarterfinal where his century and a 231-run opening stand boosted Sri Lanka. Martin Guptill's most memorable moment came in the 2015 World Cup quarterfinal against West Indies in which he blasted 237, the second-highest individual score in ODIs.
