Frank Hoogerbeets, the self-acclaimed seismic expert had predicted mega-earthquakes on July 19 and it has almost come TRUE. Earthquakes have hit several parts of India which includes Assam and Arunachal Pradesh. The earthquake with magnitude 5.5 on the Richter Scale rattled the entire Northeast including Assam and Arunachal Pradesh on July 19.
However, scientists and other seismic experts are of a view that earthquakes cannot be predicted with that precision. Anyhow, if one goes by Hoogerbeets’ prediction, earthquake measuring more than 8 on Richter scale can wreak havoc anywhere it erupts.
Earlier, Hoogerbeets’ predictions of severe tremors between July 8 and July 11 shockingly came true as, an earthquake measuring 5.7-magnitude on Richter scale struck southwest Iran near the border with Iraq on July 8, the country's national seismological centre reported. According to reports, the quake, whose epicentre was in the Masjed Soleiman area of Khuzestan province, hit at 11:30 am (0700 GMT) at a depth of 17 kilometres
Though the exact point and time of the earthquakes were not mentioned by the expert, he predicted that they may strike anytime between 8 to 11 July.
Shockingly, predictions made by Hoogerbeets about major tremors on July 5 and July 6 also hit the bulls’ eye. California, this time, bore the onus of his predictions as it was shook by earthquake measuring 7 on the Richter scale.
According to International Business Times, Hoggerbeats believes ‘plenetary alignments and lunar geometry in the solar system have direct impacts in determining seismic activities on the earth’.
Recently, California also received tremors of magnitude and people are of a view that the city may receive severe earth quakes. Hoogerbeets has predicted major tremors as high as 6 to 7 on July 19th or 20th. Meanwhile, Caltech seismologist Lucy Jones has recently warned that there is "about a one-in-20 chance that South California will be having an even bigger earthquake in near future.
