Resurgent Afghanistan, which is out of the final race, will look to leave a lasting impact when they face one of the best ODI teams India their last encounter of the Asia Cup 2018 at Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Tuesday. The otherwise dead rubber match will not have any bearing on India as they have already qualified for the finals. However, Afghanistan, which has impressed the world with their fighting spirit, would like to put up some challenge against the world’s second best ODI team.

India, on the other hand, would look to continue their unbeaten run in the Asia cup. Barring Hong Kong, no team has been able to challenge India in the tournament so far and men. However, Afghanistan would not give up as easily as Pakistan or Bangladesh did and will look to end their Asia Cup journey with a bang.

# Match tied: Rashid Khan defends seven runs and pulls off a last-ball tie. 10 one sided games and this dead rubber turned out to be a tie. Afghanistan will go home with head high. Though, they are not playing finals but Afghanistan have been a better team than Pakistan and Bangladesh.

The team got a wonderful start courtesy Shahzad's blistering knock, however, they lost momentum against the spin duo of Jadeja and Kuldeep. Shahzad and Nabi scored a century and fifty, respectively, to take their side over to 250.

# OUT! Nabi falls after fifty. Nabi was trying to chip the length delivery over the infield but miscues it straight to cover where Kuldeep Yadav takes a good running behind catch, even after collision with Dinesh Karthik.

When the entire team was struggling, he took a step forward and decided to take on the Indian bowlers. A fearless, aggressive knock.

# Afghanistan lose momentum: After a wonderful start, Afghanistan lost three quick wickets. The only good for them is opener Shahzad who is firing on all cylinders.

# OUT stumped! Second stumping of the day for Dhoni in 200th ODI as captain. A chinaman from Kuldeep which drifted in, dipped and turned past the outside edge. Shahidi was duped by the flight and Dhoni was lightning quick to dislodge the bails.
