On the third day of the Asian Games 2018, Indian shooters contributed to the sixth medal out of eight won by India. Shooters reaped medals for India as Sanjeev Rajput clinched silver in the 50m rifle 3 positions. Earlier, 16-year old Saurabh Chaudhary clinched Gold and Abhishek Verma got bronze in the 10m air pistol event. India has won three gold, three silver, two bronze medals till the third day of the Asian Games 2018.

Here is the complete list of Indian athletes who made the country proud in Jakarta

1. Ravi Kumar and Apurvi Chandela: The duo opened India's account at the Asian Games 2018 after Ravi Kumar and Apurvi Chandela bagged the bronze medal in the 10m Air Rifle mixed team event on August 19.

2. Deepak Kumar: Deepak Kumar won Silver at Men's 10m Rilfle. Deepak shot 247.7 to finish second on the podium behind China's Haoran Yang, who won the top prize. 

3. Bajrang Punia: Bajrang Punia won first Gold Medal for India at the 2018 Asian Games. Puniya surpassed Uzbekistan's Sirojiddin (13-3), Tajikistan's Fayziev Abdulqosim (12-2) and Mongolia's N Batmagnai Batchuluu (10-0) to win the the gold medal. 

4. Lakshay Sheoran: Nineteen-year-old Lakshay won Silver, the fourth medal for India at the 2018 Asian Games. He scored 43 points in 50 shots and finished behind Chinese Taipei’s Kunpi Yang  

5. Vinesh Phogat: Vinesh Phogat created history for the country by winning gold in 50 kg freestyle wrestling. Vinesh defeated Japan’s Yuki Irie by a comprehensive margin of 6-2. This marked the fifth medal for India. 

6. Abhishek Verm: Abhishek Verma has bagged bronze medal in the 10m Air Pistol Final. Abhishek managed to knock out four-time Olympic gold medallist Jin Jong-oh.

7. Saurabh Chaudhary: Saurabh Chaudhary, 16-year-old young Indian shooter created history in the Asian games by winning gold medal in the 10m Air Pistol event.

8. Sanjeev Rajput: Sanjeev bagged silver in Men’s 50m Rifle. By this Sanjeev took India’s medal tally to eight in the Asian Games 2018 on Tuesday.
