Ashley Nurse, who played a starring role in the Pune ODI against India, apparently used a famous term by noted comedian Kapil Sharma which left everybody in splits.
Speaking in the post-match presentation after winning the Man of the Match award, Nurse said, “Just dedicating the celebration to my Indian friend - Sunny Sohal, whom I met at the CPL. He told me, when you get a wicket do a 'Babaji ka thullu' or something.”

Nurse’s 22-ball 40 and his 2/43 helped West Indies level the five-match series 1-1 with a 43-run win in Pune. Even when he picked up wickets, Nurse celebrated it with a hand gesture associated with the term.

‘Babaji ka Thullu’ was popularised by Indian comedian Kapil Sharma on his show Comedy Nights with Kapil Sharma. The term, when in response to someone, means whatever they said is useless and you don't give a damn.
All-rounder’s efforts key
Nurse came to bat after Shai Hope had been bowled by Jasprit Bumrah for 95. At 227/8, the West Indies were in danger of being bowled out for an under-par score. However, Nurse shared a 56-run stand with Kemar Roach for the ninth wicket. Nurse took the attack to Bumrah and Bhuvneshwar Kumar as West Indies ended up on 283/9 on a difficult wicket.

“It was a good wicket but a bit on the slower side. Don't think the wicket had any devils in it. I just thought from our side Shai got a nice 95 and Virat got a hundred for India. It wasn't a belter. You had to work for your runs,” Nurse said.
After doing well with the ball, Nurse took the key wickets of Shikhar Dhawan (35) and Rishabh Pant (24) to dent the Indian run-chase and despite yet another Virat Kohli special century, India ended up on the losing side. Nurse said the West Indies had proved doubters wrong with this win.
“No one gave us a chance when we came but I think we're showing the public out here that we are here to play,” Nurse said.
The fourth match of the series will take place at the Brabourne stadium on October 30 with both teams tied 1-1.
