The Supreme Court on Monday granted relief to former BCCI chief Anurag Thakur and exempted his personal appearance in court till the next date of hearing in contempt proceedings case.

Anurag Thakur has given an unconditional apology to the Supreme Court in connection with his initiation of contempt proceedings case, according to an ANI report.

The next date of hearing is on April 17.

The apex court also asked the DDCA to give an undertaking to new cricket body, stating that it would follow and implement the Lodha committee recommendations.

The SC said: "After the undertaking only, the funds would be released to it for the day to day functioning of the Delhi cricket board."
