Virat Kohli is set to play under the leadership of Rory Burns during his county stint at Surrey. Rory has played 96 First-Class, 42 List A and 31 T20s, and will now lead Kohli in three List A, and three First-Class games.

The 29-year-old batsman is scheduled to play three List A and three First-class games, the last match will end on June 28. Rory Burns, the left handed batsman will lead a team which will have world’s best batsman at the moment.

Earlier in May, Kohli’s county stint was confirmed after Surrey announced his signing. It also meant that he will be missing the one-off Test against Afghanistan. The decision to play county cricket came following his poor form on the previous tour of England where he managed a mere 134 runs in 10 innings.

India will kick start the England tour with three T20Is, with ODIs and five-match Test series. Before the England tour, India will play two T20Is against Ireland on June 27 and 29, but it is yet unclear whether Kohli will play both the T20Is and one.
