New Delhi:

Left-handed opening batsmen David Warner has become the fastest Australian to get 4000 one day international runs, he also becomes third-fastest man overall to score 4000 one-day international runs, matching India's skipper Virat Kohli.

Warner achieved the milestone during his 93rd ODI, when he reached 36 in Australia's ICC Champions Trophy clash against Bangladesh at The Oval on Monday.

Warner has surpassed Dean Jones as the fastest Australian to reach 4,000 ODI runs.

Warner got to this record during the game against Bangladesh in ICC Champions Trophy, however, it all ended up in disappointment for Australia as their game was abandoned due to heavy rain on Monday. Australia were nicely poised to win the contest.
