England vs India 4th Test:Shane Warne believes Ashwin bowled too fast!

New Delhi:

Former Australian legendary leggie Shane Warne thinks that Indian spinner Ravinchandran Ashwin did not give enough flight while bowling to the English batsmen on the Day 3 of the ongoing fourth Test at the Ageas Bowl, Southampton. Warne believes that Ashwin bowled too fast and was too hard on his action.

Aussie legend Shane Warne took to the micro-blogging platform Twitter to share his thoughts on Ashwin and said that anything above the 275-run mark will be difficult for the visitors.

“Test match very evenly balanced in Southampton – anything more than chasing 275 will be difficult for India. My thoughts on Ashwin – he’s fighting the expectations that were on him as the pitch is turning – hence he’s rushing his action along with bowling consistently too fast!!,” Warne wrote.

Ashwin did not take notes from England’s Moeen Ali, who took a fifer to down the Indian batting order by consistently hitting the rough patch on the pitch and hence the difference in wickets between both Ashwin and Ali.

The Tamil Nadu spinner was heavily criticised by the fans on social media for experimenting with too many variations.

Ashwin only picked up the wicket of English all-rounder Ben Stokes as he did not look sharp on the Day 3 of the fourth Test between England and India.

On the end of Day 3 of the Southampton Test, England’s scoreboard displayed 260/8 and were leading by 233 runs with Sam Curran on the crease.

Hosts England lead the series 2-1 after winning the first two Test matches.
