New Delhi:

India set a competitive target of 266 against Bangladesh in the ICC Under 19 World Cup quarterfinals being played at New Zealand.

Bangladesh made early inroads into Indian batting order but skipper Prithvi Shaw and Shubman Gill stitched together a major partnership of 86 runs before the Indian captain was dismissed due to an absolute beauty from Qazi Onik.

Gill marched on and managed to put up another 50-plus partnership with Harvik Desai.  Gill looked in stellar touch  but was dismissed on 86.

Abhishek Sharma stepped up the momentum for the Indians towards the end and helped India post a competitive 266 run target for their South Asian neighbors.

Bangladeshi bowlers bowled well in patches and in the process became the first team to take all 10 Indian wickets in this tournament.
