New Delhi:

India shall be taking on West Indies in the fifth and final ODI at Sabina Park, Kingston at Jamaica on Thursday. The match is scheduled to commence at 6:30 pm (IST).

India currently has a 2-1 lead in the series and would be aiming for a win in the final match to clinch the series. Meanwhile, there is a lot at stake for the home team who inflicted a defeat on India in the fourth ODI at Antigua.India would look to put behind a dismal batting performance in Antigua behind their back and turn around their fortunes.

The Indians have been overly dependent on the top three batsmen to fire.Openers Shikhar Dhawan and Ajinkya Rahane have been among the runs and given the team the ideal starts in two of the three matches. Captain Virat Kohli has been a little below par with the bat from the usual high standards he sets for himself.

The middle order has struggled big time to get their act together. While Yuvraj Singh is out with fitness issues, Dinesh Karthik has not been able to make the most of the chances he has got. It has been pretty surprising that the youngsters on board have not been given the opportunities they deserved so it won't be a bad idea trying out Rishabh Pant and. The pace attack has bowled well as a unit and young spinner Kuldeep Yadav has impressed everyone by picking up wickets regularly.

The Windies who fielded their second string team in the absence of their main stars who are currently giving international commitments a skip because of the pay row have struggled with their batting all through the series. The Windies haven't been able to put up challenging totals against the Indians and that has been their major area of concern. Meanwhile, they have been some spirited performances with the ball from captain Jason Holder who picked up a fifer in the last game.  So it is all to play for in the decider of the ODI series at Jamaica later on Thursday evening.
