Afghanistan is the latest team to earn the status of a Test nation and to make its debut against Indian team in Bangalore. The match will begin on Thursday at the Chinnaswamy Stadium.
The match is important for both the sides, as India will enter the ground to build up a momentum before going for the England tour while young team of Afghanistan will look to create history by clinching win against the World’s number one side.
Recently, some of the Afghan players like Rashid Khan, Mohammad Nabi and Mohammad Shahzad grabbed eyeballs cricket fans all around the world when they were picked by IPL franchise at whopping prices.
All the three players also performed well in the eleventh edition of the Indian Premier League with bat and ball.

However, it doesn’t beat the fact their opponent are one of the best side in the world with some of the most experienced players in the squad.
Players like Shikhar Dhawan, Ajinkya Rahane, Dinesh Karthik, Cheteshwar Pujara, Murali Vijay and Ravindra Jadeja. Some of the big names has been given rest for the maiden match against Afghanistan including Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma and Bhuvneshwar Kumar.
Earlier, Mohammed Shami and Sanju Samson were dropped from the match as the duo failed to pass the fitness test.
Borad of Cricket Council of India (BCCI) said The All-India Senior Selection Committee has named Navdeep Saini as Mohammed Shami’s replacement in the Indian Test team for the upcoming Paytm Test against Afghanistan’’.
Match Predictions – It is not very hard to pick the favourite side in this match where one team is making their debut and the other is already at the top of the Standings. However, it will interesting to see that how well the Afghanistan team performs and makes team India struggle in the match.
