New Delhi:

Australia chose to and Shaun Marsh boosted Aaron Finch's side by blasting his seventh century to propel them towards a big score. His partnerships with Usman Khawaja and Glenn Maxwell laid the foundation for Australia to reach such a big total. For India, only Bhuvneshwar Kumar was the star with 4/45 but India leaked plenty of runs in the death overs. In response, India started off in style with Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan starting brilliantly. However, Australia chipped away at regular intervals but Virat Kohli showed his class and scored his 39th century. MS Dhoni, much maligned for his slow knock in Sydney, chipped in with a magnificent 69th fifty to boost India to a six-wicket win and level the three-match series 1-1. (SCORECARD)

Brilliant, simply sublime. Dhoni hits a six and then takes India over the line in vintage style as India clinch the Adelaide ODI by six wickets to level the three-match series 1-1. What a sensational win this is and the series is alive.

MS Dhoni nears a fifty and India need 16 runs off 12 balls. Australia need a miracle of an over to win this. There is a replay showing that Dhoni technically had not grounded his bat and thus it should be one short. But, the umpires have missed it. We move on. It is still advantage India.

Dinesh Karthik slams a boundary and the pressure eases off for India. They need 25 runs off 18 balls. It should be easy for the side.

MS Dhoni is now the key and he gets going with a six and a boundary. India need 34 off 24 balls. Can be easily done.

Oh dear, what a time for Kohli to go as he holes out to deep midwicket. Glenn Maxwell takes the catch and Jhye Richardson, after being tonked in the first few overs, has redeemed himself in style.

Virat Kohli, you unbelievable freak of nature. Notches up his 39th ODI century and another one in a chase. Once again in Adelaide. This is sublime stuff from this man. India on course for a win.

Kohli is nearing his century and India are on course to secure a brilliant win in Adelaide. Another chase, another big win.

Kohli is really into Twenty20 mode now as he clobbers Nathan Lyon over long off for a huge six. Until Kohli is there, India have a massive chance of leveling the series.

Virat Kohli blasts a boundary to deep extra cover and then launches a six off Jason Behrendorff. He is switching on his Twenty20 mode now.

MS Dhoni has once again gotten off to a slow start. Maxwell concedes just one run in his fourth over and the asking rate mounts.

WICKET! Ambati Rayudu, who has struggled for timing in the whole match, miscues the slog sweep and is caught at deep midwicket. Kohli notched up his 49th fifty and also went past 6000 ODI runs overseas. India need someone to stay with Kohli till the end.

The asking rate is mounting with every single over. The last time a boundary was hit was 39 balls ago. Kohli is nearing a fifty.

Rayudu is looking very nervous as he tries to get going. An outside edge evades the keeper and he gets a boundary to third man. India need 178 more runs and Kohli is nearing fifty.

Australia have gotten the key wicket. Rohit Sharma, who hit a century in Sydney, has holed out to deep midwicket and India are two down. All hopes rest on Kohli now.

Rohit Sharma has thrown away a good start. Short ball from Marcus Stoinis and Rohit mistimes the pull to deep midwicket where Handscomb takes the catch. The short boundaries can sometimes work against you.

Rohit continues his six-hitting spree with a magnificent six off Peter Siddle but there is plenty of confusion in the running between the wickets from both Kohli and Rohit. India are maintaining a rate close to six and they have all the momentum. A wicket could throw their plans awry.

Dhawan falls in the quest for too much aggression. He top-edges a lofted shot and Jason Behnrendorff gets the wicket. Good knock comes to an end and in enters King Kohli, ideal for this kind of situation.

Dhawan crunches a boundary off Behrendorff through extra cover and the boundaries are starting to flow for India. Dhawan is leading the charge this time.

Jhye Richardson, who tore through the Indian top order in Sydney, is struggling with his line and length here as both Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan start well in their chase of 299. Jason Behrendorff has started off well.

After losing a cluster of wickets, including Shaun Marsh for a brilliant 131, Australia have ended on 298/9 with Nathan Lyon ending the innings in style with a big six off Bhuvneshwar, who finished with 4/45.

Glenn Maxwell toe-ends the lofted shot to long off and Bhuvneshwar Kumar finally breaks the partnership. Can India restrict Australia to under 300? Marsh is still going strong though.

Maxwell survives two chances. One lands just in front of Ambati Rayudu while Rohit cannot hold on to a catch. Siraj's quest for a maiden wicket continues.

Marsh and Maxwell continue to tear the Indian bowling to shreds. Marsh launches yet another six and Australia are closing in on a score in excess of 300.

26 runs have come in the last two overs and Marsh hit his second six. The death overs continue to be a problem.

Marsh and Maxwell continue to hurt India and after being given LBW, Maxwell successfully appeals against an LBW decision to deny Siraj his maiden wicket. Australia have crossed 250 and Maxwell is eyeing a big fifty.

Australia have opened up in style. Maxwell blasts a six off Kuldeep into the deep midwicket stands but the shot of the day comes from Marsh, who makes room and creams an inside out lofted shot over extra cover for a massive six. Kuldeep ends with figures of 10-0-66-0.

Shaun Marsh, take a bow! Slams his seventh century and he continues his magnificent form in the ODI format. Australia are now eyeing a massive score. With Maxwell at the crease, this could be possible.

Shami gets hit for two boundaries by Stoinis as the partnership goes past fifty. However, the bowler has his revenge as Stoinis toe-ends a short ball to Dhoni. Marsh is still hanging firm and Glenn Maxwell has the right situation for him.

The partnership between Stoinis and Marsh is nearing fifty and Australia look set for a score in excess of 300. The key will be Marsh.

Marsh is nearing a century and he is changing gears. India will be determined to break this partnership as soon as possible otherwise they could be chasing a massive score on this deck.

The partnership between Marsh and Stoinis has put Australia on course for a big score. The scoring rate has also increased and it is almost close to five.

Marsh continues to bat with aggression and he is finding the boundary with ease. The asking rate is creeping up to close to five.

Brilliant from MS Dhoni. He waited for Handscomb to drag his feet slightly out of the crease and faster than light, he effects a stumping. Jadeja gets the breakthrough and this will give India some relief as Siraj continues to leak runs. Handsomb out for 20.

14th fifty for Shaun Marsh and his magnificent form in ODIs continues. Can he go on and score a big one in Adelaide which could be series defining?

Marsh is looking in fine touch and he is nearing a fifty. Peter Handscomb, who scored an attacking fifty in Sydney, is also looking in great touch.

Brilliant work from Ravindra Jadeja. He scores a direct hit from point and the 56-run stand is broken with Khawaja run-out for 21. India have struck at a vital time and they will be eyeing some momentum now.

Mohammed Siraj concedes 13 runs in his fourth over and he now has figures of 4-0-34-0. Marsh and Khawaja bring up the fifty stand and they are reviving Australia in a manner similar to the game in Sydney.

Mohammed Siraj continues to leak runs. Shaun Marsh gets going with a boundary and Usman Khawaja follows suit. The Hyderabad pacer continues to leak runs and Australia are slowly easing the pressure away.

Mohammed Siraj is getting some pace and bounce but he concedes nine runs in his first over. Kuldeep Yadav starts very well.

WICKET! Shami gets into the act now. Poor shot from Carey. Short ball just outside off and it hurries on to Carey, he is cramped for room as he attempts the pull and the tame top edge is taken at mid wicket.

WICKET! Bhuvneshwar does it again. He gets Aaron Finch for the second time and the mode of dismissal is the same like in Sydney. Full ball and darting back in off the seam, Finch looks to drive and gets castled. The Australian skipper has really struggled with the incoming delivery this summer.

Carey and Finch are making steady progress. However, India will be aiming to strike early inside the powerplay period.

Apart from the wide in the previous over, Bhuvneshwar bowled the right line and length on this wicket, giving Carey no room whatsoever. Shami, on the other hand, is getting swing off deck, not much but just about enough to trouble the batsman.

Mohammed Shami strays onto the pads of Alex Carey and he is flicked to the deep midwicket fence, which is only 61 meters. Australia are making a good start.

Steady start for Bhuvneshwar Kumar as he gets some swing off the deck. There is decent carry on the wicket.

Australia have chosen to bat in the Adelaide ODI. They are unchanged while for Virat Kohli's side, Mohammed Siraj makes his debut while Khaleel Ahmed sits out. Here are the playing XIs.

India: Rohit Sharma, Shikhar Dhawan, Virat Kohli(c), Ambati Rayudu, MS Dhoni(w), Dinesh Karthik, Ravindra Jadeja, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Kuldeep Yadav, Mohammed Siraj, Mohammed Shami

Australia: Aaron Finch(c), Alex Carey(w), Usman Khawaja, Shaun Marsh, Peter Handscomb, Marcus Stoinis, Glenn Maxwell, Nathan Lyon, Peter Siddle, Jhye Richardson, Jason Behrendorff

A warm welcome to the second ODI in Adelaide. This is a must-win game for Virat Kohli's side while Australia are eyeing a big series win. The pitch has a good covering of grass but it is a bat-first wicket. The square boundaries are just 57 meters and that will be a big boost for the Indian batsmen.
