New Delhi:

Sunrisers Hyderabad shall be locking horns against Delhi Daredevils in an IPL encounter at Hyderabad on Wednesday. The match is scheduled to commence at 8 pm in the evening at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium.

Sunrisers Hyderabad shall hold the slight edge as pre-match favorites for the match as they would be playing at home in Hyderabad. Surprisingly Delhi were the only team to hand them a defeat on two occasions in the last season when they lifted the title.

Sunrisers Hyderabad

Sunrisers were superb in their last game against Kings XI Punjab when their strong bowling unit defended a platry 159 against Kings Eleven Punjab. Their bowling heroics were led by swing bowler Bhuvneshwar Kumar who has been in breathtaking form with his immaculate line and lethal swing. 'Bhuvi' has been well supported by the likes of experienced campaigner in Ashish Nehra and Bangladeshi pace ace Mustafizur Rahman who has a bagful of tricks. Meanwhile Afghan spinner Rashid Khan has bamboozled the best with deceptive googlies in the tournament so far. It was a pleasant surprise to see Mohammad Nabi get a look into the playing eleven for the last match and too impressed with his bowling performance.

The Sunrisers batting efforts have been led by their captain David Warner who has been in explosive form. The likes of Moses Henriques and Yuvraj Singh have also shown sparks of brilliance by playing a couple of breathtaking innings.

Delhi Daredevils

Delhi Daredevils have been simply sensational as a bowling unit. The 'Double D'S have a lethal seam attack with Pat Cummins, Kagiso Rabada, Zaheer Khan and Mohammad Shami who have bowled well as a unit and been the recipe of their winning strategies. The Delhi side also has a potent spin attack with veteran spinner Amit Mishra and Shahbaz Nadeem who have been among the wickets.

Young turks Sanju Samson and Rishab Pant have spearheaded their batting in the absence of Quinton De Cock and JP Duminy. Both Pant and Samson have showcased their hitting pedigree and deimated some of the best bowling attacks in the tournament. The team almost pulled off a victory against KKR in their previous encounter before Yusuf Pathan and Manish Pandey led a late onslaught to take their side home.

Opener Sam Billings has also come good up the order after a rusty start. The form of Karun Nair and Shreyas Iyer has been a worry some factor as they both have struggled to get going in this season so far. Delhi seem to have the right balance in their side with Sri-Lankan allrounder Angelo Matthews and Chris Morris who is a handy customer with the bat and augment the pace bowling too.

So it looks to be an evenly matched encounter with both sides having the right team balance to pose a threat each other's game plans. One wont be wrong in saying that it can be dubbed as the clash of the 'Bowling Heavyweights'.
