IPL Auction 2018 Day 1: Mumbai Indians retains Kunal Pandya for Rs 8.80 crore, Ishant Sharma remains unsold

New Delhi:

The 11th edition of Indian Premier League (IPL) undergo a major reshuffle as 578 T20 stalwarts will go under the hammer at the mega-auction scheduled for 27 and 28 January in Bengaluru. 

This time its more interesting as Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals are making a comeback after two years, increasing fans curiosity to see what players are bought by the both the returning teams.

A total of 62 capped and 298 uncapped Indian cricketers will vie for the available slots with 182 capped overseas cricketers, 34 uncapped overseas players and two cricketers from Associate nations.

The names of 16 'marquee players' have been confirmed, and they include big guns like Ben Stokes, Joe Root, Chris Gayle besides India's premier off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin.
