New Delhi:

India skipper Virat Kohli won the toss and elected to bat against Sri Lanka in the third and final cricket Test at Pallekele International Cricket Stadium.     

Indians got off to a good start with openers Shikhar Dhawan and KL Rahul scoring at a rapid pace. Rahul fell 15 short of a century but Dhawan to score his 6th Test ton. Post lunch, the Sri Lankan made some inroads into the Indian middle order by quickly dismissing Pujara and Rahane.
