New Delhi:
India on Sunday defeated Sri Lanka by five wickets in the third T-20 international at Wankhede Stadium to register a clean sweep of 3-0.
Indian bowlers restricted Sri Lanka to a total of 135 for the loss of seven wickets, setting up a target of 136 for the hosts. Asela Gunaratne (36 runs) scored the most for his team followed by Sadeera Samarawickrama (21 runs).
Team India achieved the given target in 19.2 overs, losing five wickets in the process. Manish Pandey was the highest scorer for Indian team with 32 runs. Shreyas Iyer and Rohit Sharma also contributed their bit to the victory.
Earlier, Rohit Sharma won the toss and elected to field first. The bowlers justified the decision as Sri Lanka lost three early wickets within the first few overs.

Jaydev Unadkat and Hardik Pandya took the maximum wickets with two-two each. Mohammed Siraj, Kuldeep Yadav and Washington Sundar scalped one wicket each.
Jaydev Unadkat was named as the 'Man of the Match' and 'Man of the Series' for his brilliant performance. Indeed, it was a blockbuster Sunday for all the cricket lovers.
Team India will now prepare for the upcoming series against South Africa. It will play a total of three tests, 6 ODIs and three T20 international matches against the Proteas.
