New Delhi:

Pakistani speedster Hasan Ali is all set to tie the knot to Indian girl Shamia Arzoo in Dubai. The couple will reportedly get married on August 20. It is further reported that the marriage will take place at the Atlantis Palm Hotel. Shamia belongs to Mewat district of Haryana.

Meanwhile, Hasan Ali will not be the first Pakistan cricketer to marry an Indian girl. Pakistan veteran batsman Shoaib Malik married Indian tennis star, Sania Mirza. Furthermore,  former Pakistan cricketer’s Zaheer Abbas and Mohsin Hasan Khan have Indian wives.

Meanwhile, it is reported by Amar Ujala that Shamia’s father Liaquat Ali has quoted ten family members will leave for UAE on 17 August. These include son Akbar Ali, wife Rahisha, son-in-law Altaf Hussain, daughters Bilkis and Mumtaz and other members of the family.

Shamia has a B.Tech (Aeronautical) degree from Manav Rachna University. In fact, she is a former employee of Jet Airways. Currently, she is working as a flight engineer in Emirates Airlines.

On the other hand, Hasan Ali has been instrumental in the success of the Pakistan cricket team. He had scalped 13 wickets in five matches of the Champions Trophy 2017 and had helped Pakistan in clinching the title. However, Hasan Ali’s performance in the recently concluded World Cup was not up to the mark.

He was part of the team’s playing XI in the initial phase but he was dropped after mundane performances. The fast bowler could only take two wickets in the four matches of the tournament. He bowled at a poor average of 128 and conceded his runs at an economy rate of 7.76.

Consequently, Pakistan had failed to make it the semifinal stages as they had finished at the fifth place in the points table. Pakistan won five matches out of the eight they played with three losses and one no result.
