Legendary Sri Lankan all-rounder Sanath Jayasuriya and former captain of the island nation is in the news for all the wrong reasons. Renowned for his exploits on the cricket field, he has been accused by his former girlfriend, Maleeka Sirisena of leaking a sex tape online which shows both of them in compromising positions.
The alleged tape spread like wildfire via Whatsapp and other social media platforms. There is also a rumour going on regarding Jayasuriya’s video leak that he did in order to take revenge on the lady. Though it is not clear yet that whether it is Jayasuriya in the video or not, it might be his lookalike in the video.
Sirisena is the wife of an established businessman and media tycoon. He owns a gossip segment under his famous television, radio and web company. A probe has been initiated by the Sri Lankan authorities regarding the issue. Sirisena has alleged that the video was recorded by Jayasuriya himself.

At that point of time, the former opener and the woman were engaged. Jayasuriya has been one of the most celebrated cricketers of the island nation and has 13,430 runs in 445 ODIs while scoring 28 centuries and 58 half-centuries. In the bowling department, he has taken 323 wickets at an impressive strike rate and an average of 36.75.
He was a formidable force in Test cricket too as he scored more than 8000 runs with 14 centuries and 31 half-centuries. Besides being a former cricketer, he has also been the former Deputy Minister of Local Government and Rural Development under the Rajapaksa regime.
