The Indian skipper Virat Kohli registered yet another feat in the first of two match T20 International series against Australia after being able to become the first player to score over 500 runs against an opponent in T20I cricket. He has amassed 512 runs against Australia in this format so far.
In this innings, Kohli came to bat after India lost Rohit Sharma for five runs. The team was looking for a solid partnership and one will have to say that KL Rahul and Virat Kohli did just that, managing to register a partnership of 55 runs.
Post this, Kohli departed for 24 runs off 17 deliveries. His innings was laced with 3 boundaries. However, he tried to go down the ground to Adam Zampa and mistimed the shot which went straight in the hands of Nath Coulter Nile.
At the end of India's innings, it wouldn't be wrong to say that the men-in-yellow came with a proper plan to give India a tough time in the middle. Except for Rahul's quick-fire 50, India doesn't have much to be proud of. Having scored 126 runs in their quota of 20 overs, it will be interesting to see bowlers manage to replicate Aussie's thoughts.
