The World Cup 2019 may have ended in heartbreak for Virat Kohli's Indian cricket team as they lost in the semi-final to New Zealand in Old Trafford. However, with the end of the World Cup, there is the Pro Kabaddi League for sporting enthusiasts to look forward to. Before India's tour to West Indies, Virat Kohli attended the Pro-Kabaddi League game between U Mumba and Puneri Paltan which was the opening match of the Mumbai leg of the tournament on Saturday. Speaking to Star Sports, Kohli highlighted who were the players that he would have picked if he was the captain of a kabaddi team.

"I would say, MS Dhoni, Ravindra Jadeja and Umesh Yadav. Umesh is really strong. Rishabh Pant as well. I would say Bumrah because he can really work on a toe-touch. One more... I am not even going to include myself because these guys are stronger and more athletic. The last one would be KL Rahul. That's my seven," Kohli said.

When it came to the Pro Kabaddi League, Kohli said his favourite player was Rahul Chaudhri of the Tamil Thalaivas and he said that the friendship between Chaudhri and Ajay Thakur reminded him of his friendship with MS Dhoni, the former India skipper.

"They have a great camaraderie. So I think those two would be a direct copy of me and Mahi [Dhoni]. I have always been impressed with Rahul Chaudhari the most. I think he's got the personality and the game and the belief to be a top player. He has shown consistency over the years. Rahul is my favourite," Kohli said.

After attending the Pro Kabaddi League, Kohli and the Indian cricket team will embark on a three Twenty20 International, three ODIs and two-Test tour of the West Indies which will begin from August 3. The two Tests will be part of the new World Test Championship and this will be the second series in the league, with the Ashes contest between England and Australia becoming the first series under the new championship. India's last Test series win in the West Indies came in 2016 when they won the Tests 2-0 but lost the Twenty20 series 0-1.
