New Delhi:

A bruised and hurt Neymar will aim to get Brazil's FIFA World Cup 2018 campaign back on track on Friday as one of the favourites of the tournament eye for a victory over Costa Rica.

Neymar was fouled for a record number of times (10) in a single World Cup game in 20 years in Brazil's lackluster 1-1 draw against Switzerland on Sunday.

The world's most expensive player then limped out of training on Tuesday. However, he returned to training pitch 48 hours ahead of the tie in St. Petersburg.

The Switzerland match was PSG forward's first game after a four months setback following a broken bone in his right foot.

"Neymar is one of the best players in the world. Of course having him in our side is a big plus for us," said Coutinho.

"He is so important. He is always creating the play, creating space."

Brazil were left frustrated with the treatment that Neymar got against Switzerland. The Brazilian federation further complained to FIFA.

Neymar and co. will face Costa Rica on Friday.
