New Delhi:

Cristiano Ronaldo is a doubt for Juventus' Serie A clash at Napoli on Sunday after picking up an ankle injury during the weekend's 1-0 win at Bologna, the club announced on Wednesday. Juventus took to the website and told that Cristiano Ronaldo is scheduled for check-ups today. He further went on saying that Ronaldo had earlier hurt his left ankle during the game against Bologna.

"For CR7, check-ups have been scheduled for today and tomorrow following a knock to his left ankle during the game against Bologna," Juventus said on their website.

Champions Juve travels to second-placed Napoli 13 points clear at the top of the league, and coach Massimiliano Allegri could leave the Portuguese out of the match knowing that even a defeat would likely not cause serious harm their bid for an eighth straight title.

Juve host Atletico Madrid in the Champions League on March 12 needing to overturn a 2-0 deficit after being beaten at the Wanda Metropolitano in the first leg of their last-16 tie with the La Liga outfit.

After two days of rest, following the trip to Bologna, Juventus returned to training today, where the squad officially began preparation for Sunday evening's game against Napoli, at 20:30.

The team met up this afternoon, and underneath the Spring-like sun, they took part in athletic training before working with the ball.

Circulation, possession work, shooting, and working with space and movement was just some of the work the team focused their attention on, in what was an intense session.

Both Douglas Costa and Cristiano Ronaldo trained separately from the group.
