New Delhi:

Portuguese megastar Cristiano Ronaldo has ended his 320-minute goal-barren run as he opened his account for Italian giants Juventus by netting two goals against Sassuolo on Sunday. The former Real Madrid signed for the Bianconeri, ending his nine-year stay at the Spanish capital. The deal is reportedly worth €100 million ($116m).

Ronaldo moved to Italy as one of the deadly goalscorers of all time, but made a stop-start to his life in Juventus. However, the former Manchester United star put an end to his barren run as he scored in his fourth Serie A match.

The Portugal captain tapped into an empty net from a rebound as Sassoulo made a mess of clearing their lines, handing Ronaldo his debut goal for the Bianconeri, and what followed was a Cristiano Ronaldo trademark celebration. The shot was Ronaldo’s number 28 since moving to Juventus.

And just after 10 minutes after his first goal for Juventus, the five-time Ballon d’Or winner made his trademark sprinting run as he unleashed a brilliant low shot to register his second goal for the Italian giants. Another new signing for Juventus from Liverpool - Emre Can assisted the goal.

Juventus have won 4 out of their 4 games this season and will now expect plenty of goals from the goal-scoring machine Cristiano Ronaldo.
