Kings XI Punjab chose to bowl against Sunrisers Hyderabad and they made an excellent start, restricting the powerful Sunrisers Hyderabad batting line-up and giving away just two boundaries in the first six overs. Jaoony Bairstow fell cheaply while Vijay Shankar tried to resurrect the innings with David Warner. The left-hander showed his mettle and slammed his 39th fifty but some brilliant hitting from Deepak Hooda, in which he hit two boundaries and a six in his last three balls have boosted Sunrisers Hyderabad to 150/4. In response, KL Rahul and Mayank Agarwal blasted fifties and Rahul held his nerve to give Kings XI Punjab a thrilling win against Sunrisers Hyderabad by six wickets and with one ball to spare. 23:43 hrs IST: Brilliant stuff from KL Rahul. Sam Curran hits a couple of braces and with six needed off three balls, Rahul blasts Nabi to the long off boundary and a misfield from Warner at long on gives Kings XI Punjab a thrilling four-wicket win with one ball to spare. Once again, there has been a thriller in Mohali and the hosts have come out on top.

23:34 hrs IST: Mandeep Singh holes out to long off and Siddarth Kaul concedes just five runs in the 19th over. Kings XI Punjab need 11 runs in the final over. Sam Curran joins KL Rahul. Mohammad Nabi to bowl the final over.

23:26 hrs IST: David Miller falls. Is there a twist in the tale now? The knuckle ball from Sandeep Sharma and Miller miscues the lofted shot and is caught at long on. Kings XI Punjab need 16 off 12 balls.

23:21 hrs IST: Finally, a catch is being held. Sandeep Sharma bangs it short on off stump and Agarwal miscues the pull shot and Vijay Shankar takes the catch at deep midwicket. Agarwal's fine knock of 55 has ended and Kings XI Punjab need 19 off 17 balls.

23:16 hrs IST: Mayank Agarwal launches Kaul for a big six down the ground and he brings up his fifty off just 40 balls. The partnership is well past 100 and Kings XI Punjab are coasting towards victory.
