Riyan Parag's 47 and Jofra Archer' 27 off 12 balls overshadowed Dinesh Karthik's 97 runs as Rajasthan Royals managed to upstage Kolkata Knight Riders by three wickets at Eden Gardens in Kolkata. With this win, Rajasthan Royals keep their hopes alive for the playoffs in the ongoing edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). Kolkata, on the other hand, have now lost sixth game on the trot. SCORECARD

So Russell has joined Dinesh Karthik to the middle and hasn't been that explosive in the balls faced. The duo are looking to bat deep. After 13 overs, it's 86/4.

WICKET: Confusion. Confusion. Narine and Karthik tried to up the scoring rate and eventually created a confusion in the middle. Narine paid the price. Departs for 11 (8).

First SIX of the innings helps Kolkata Knight Riders get to 50 run mark. It took them 61 balls to achieve that landmark. 

The matter is getting worse for the team, and they will be looking to cahnge it in second half of the first innings. After 10 overs, it's 49/3. 

WICKET: You cannot keep Varun Aaron out of the game today. Shreyas Gopal bowled a short of a length delivery, and Rana gave himself room, played on the backfoot but found the point fielder. Third wicket DOWN!

The powerplay belongs to Rajasthan Royals. They have not only been able to keep KKR batsmen quiet, but have also sent the openers back to the pavilion. Varun Aaron has been the pick of the bowlers, and after 6 overs KKR could only manage 32 runs for the loss of two wickets.

Rajasthan Royals is off to a perfect start. Varun Aaron sent Chris Lynn for duck, and both Nitish Rana and Shubhman Gill are struggling to get going. After 3 overs, it's 14/1.
