23:35 hrs IST: That is all we have from here. Join us tomorrow for the blockbuster between Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings from the Wankhede stadium. Good night!

23:33 hrs IST: Rahul Tripathi seals the deal with a six and Rajasthan Royals secure their first win in IPL 2019 by defeating Royal Challengers Bangalore by seven wickets. This is the fourth consecutive loss for Virat Kohli and his IPL 2019 faces an uphill season.

23:23 hrs IST: Three catches dropped by Royal Challengers Bangalore. Things are going from bad to worse. Pawan Negi and Moeen Ali drop chances off Tripathi and Smith. However, in the last ball of Siraj's over, Smith holes out to a lofted shot and he takes the catch at long on. Rajasthan Royals need five runs off six balls.

23:17 hrs IST: Rahul Tripathi dispatches a full toss from Saini to square third man and Steve Smith survives a run-out chance as AB de Villiers misses at the non-striker's end. Nothing going Royal Challengers Bangalore's way.

23:12 hrs IST: Tripathi blasts Siraj inside-out over extra cover for a boundary but Steve Smith puts the game firmly in Rajasthan Royals' graps by hoicking a six over deep midwicket. Rajasthan Royals need 18 off 18 balls.

23:05 hrs IST: DROPPED! That could be the moment Royal Challengers Bangalore have lost the game. Flighted delivery outside off, Smith lofts it inside out to deep extra cover and Umesh Yadav spills the chance. Kohli and Chahal are absolutely gutted. The legspinner finishes with figures of 4-0-17-2.

23:01 hrs IST: Rahul Tripathi finds the boundary off Stoinis and Rajasthan Royals need 38 off 30 balls. It should be easy from here but like we saw in the game between Kings XI Punjab and Delhi Capitals, nothing is assured until the final ball is bowled and the final run is scored.

22:55 hrs IST: Smith finds a crucial boundry off Umesh Yadav and Rajasthan Royals need 47 runs off the last six overs. Royal Challengers Bangalore need wickets quickly.

22:51 hrs IST: Another googly, another wicket. Chahal is keeping Royal Challengers Bangalore in the hunt with another wicket but Rajasthan Royals are still on top. Can they hold their nerve and not collapse? Steve Smith survives a stumping chance as his back foot is behind the crease.

22:44 hrs IST: Buttler, you beauty! He gets to his eighth fifty by blasting Moeen down the ground for a boundary and then pummells a short ball over the ropes at deep midwicket.

22:41 hrs IST: Royal Challengers Bangalore are conceding easy runs. Smith gets a boundary and Buttler is nearing a fifty.

22:33 hrs IST: Buttler goes after Marcus Stoinis and smashes two boundaries. The short ball is just not working on this deck.

22:27 hrs IST: Looks like the batsmen at the Sawai Mansingh just cannot pick the wrong-un. Chahal bowls the googly and it breaks back in sharply and Rahane is back on the crease, he attempts to cut but the ball hits the pad first and he is trapped LBW. Chahal will be the key for Royal Challengers Bangalore.

22:17 hrs IST: Rajasthan Royals have ended the powerplay in grand style as Rahane smashes two fours off Navdeep Saini as they reach 55/0 after six overs.

22:12 hrs IST: Good first over for Mohammed Siraj. Concedes one run only. He bowled in the right areas. For once, he starts off well.

22:09 hrs IST: Royal Challengers Bangalore continue to leak runs. Two fours by Buttler off Saini and Akshdeep Nath fails to collect a quick ball and Rajasthan Royals have made a great start.

22:04 hrs IST: Umesh Yadav is bowling to the left and to the right. He glances a full and leg side ball to fine leg and then cracks a short and wide ball outside off to the deep backward point fence.

21:59 hrs IST: Buttler begins with a bang as he slams three boundaries and gets Rajasthan Royals off to a great start. However, he gets a life as Kohli drops Buttler off Saini.

21:34 hrs IST: Massive final over for Royal Challengers Bangalore. Moeen Ali smashes a six and a four off Archer while Stoinis finishes the over in style by ramping a full toss past short fine leg as Royal Challengers Bangalore smash 17 runs in the final over to end on 158/4. This is just about a par score on this wicket.

21:29 hrs IST: Marcus Stoinis gets Royal Challengers Bangalore closer to 150 and there is an appeal for a catch against Stoinis but the review goes against Rajasthan Royals. Can Kohli's side get to 160?

21:22 hrs IST: WICKET! Finally, Rajasthan Royals get the wicket that they wanted. Slower ball from Archer and Parthiv mistimes the lofted shot and Rahane takes a simple catch at long on. Ends a fine knock from Parthiv as he departs for 67.

21:19 hrs IST: After giving away just four runs in five balls, Parthiv breaks the shackles by clobbering a short ball from Ben Stokes to the wide long on fence. He will be the key if Royal Challengers Bangalore have to reach 160.

21:14 hrs IST: Parthiv is in good touch and he holds the key in trying to get Royal Challengers Bangalore to a good total. Can he hang in there? Rajasthan Royals, on the other hand, need a good spell from either Ben Stokes or Jofra Archer to ensure they have to chase less than 150.

21:05 hrs IST: Parthiv Patel scores his 12th fifty and it is the fastest that he has hit in IPL. Marcus Stoinis notches up the team hundred by pouncing on the free hit and he deposits Archer over deep midwicket for a big six. Royal Challengers Bangalore need at least 160 on this wicket.

20:58 hrs IST: Parthiv Patel is batting like a dream. He pulls a short ball just over deep square leg and cracks a short and wide ball to the deep backward point fence. Poor start for Stokes and Parthiv nears a fifty.

20:54 hrs IST: Parthiv Patel holds the key now for Royal Challengers Bangalore as Rajasthan Royals are slipping in some quiet overs. Marcus Stoinis' big hitting will be crucial for the Bangalore side. Ben Stokes is into the attack now.

20:44 hrs IST: Shreyas Gopal continues to weave his magic. After taking Kohli and de Villiers, he removes Hetmyer for 1 with another wrong-un. This is magnificent stuff from Gopal.

20:41 hrs IST: Wicket maiden for Gopal and Krishnappa Gowtham appeals for an LBW against Shimron Hetmyer, who has consumed eight balls and has gotten off the mark.

20:36 hrs IST: Brilliant, brilliant Shreyas Gopal! Another googly and the ball stops on AB de Villiers who punches the ball back to Gopal who crouches low and takes a good catch. He is simply overjoyed.

20:33 hrs IST: Parthiv Patel uses the pace of Varun Aaron and finds a boundary to the long leg fence. AB de Villiers, who gets off the mark with a paddle sweep, gets an inside edge for a boundary to fine leg. Aaron concedes 16 runs in his opening over.

20:27 hrs IST: WICKET! What a brilliant moment for Shreyas Gopal. The googly from Gopal and Kohli fails to pick it, goes right through the gate and the RCB skipper is gone for 23.

20:23 hrs IST: This is the first time that Royal Challengers Bangalore have not lost a wicket in the powerplay. Shreyas Gopal is into the attack and he appeals for an LBW, but there was an inside edge.

20:21 hrs IST: Good over from Gowtham and the powerplay is done for Royal Challengers Bangalore. After six overs, they are 48/0. Now, they must build upon this.

20:19 hrs IST: Parthiv Patel is on fire. He ramps a short ball from Archer to third man, walks across and pulls another slow, short ball to fine leg and then thumps a lofted shot to long off. Royal Challengers Bangalore have made a good start.

20:15 hrs IST: The right-left combination is working for RCB. Kohli whips a four uppishly but it is in the gap at deep midwicket while Parthiv heaves a short ball to the long leg fence. Jofra Archer is into the attack now.

20:11 hrs IST: Much better over for Gowtham as he almost finds the outside edge of Kohli. He is not spinning the ball much. Just darting it flat and quick on the stumps. Just three runs in the third over.

20:09 hrs IST: Kohli gets the outside edge to a delivery that shapes away a bit and the ball races away to the third man fence. After two overs, Royal Challengers Bangalore are 17/0.

20:03 hrs IST: Krishnappa Gowtham opens the bowling and Kohli is striking the ball brilliantly. He whips an offspinner past Steve Smith at backward square leg for a boundary. 10 runs in the first over. Dhawal Kulkarni will bowl the next over.

19:59 hrs IST: Virat Kohli and Parthiv Patel are opening the batting. This is the fourth opening stand for RCB. Can they deliver?

19:52 hrs IST: Virat Kohli had said that he wanted to bat. Can his batsmen step and be counted today?

19:39 hrs IST: Here are the playing XIs for both sides. Stuart Binny and Varun Aaron are in the Royals side. Here are the playing XIs.

Rajasthan Royals (Playing XI): Ajinkya Rahane(c), Jos Buttler(w), Rahul Tripathi, Steven Smith, Ben Stokes, Stuart Binny, Krishnappa Gowtham, Jofra Archer, Shreyas Gopal, Dhawal Kulkarni, Varun Aaron

Royal Challengers Bangalore (Playing XI): Parthiv Patel(w), Moeen Ali, Virat Kohli(c), AB de Villiers, Shimron Hetmyer, Marcus Stoinis, Akshdeep Nath, Umesh Yadav, Navdeep Saini, Yuzvendra Chahal, Mohammed Siraj

19:32 hrs IST: Rajasthan Royals have chosen to bowl against Royal Challengers Bangalore. Sanju Samson is out and Jaydev Unadkat misses out for Rajasthan Royals. Akshdeep Nath is in while Marcus Stoinis replaces Colin de Grandhomme.

19:28 hrs IST: What should the team do when they win the toss? One feels that Kohli and Rahane might be tempted to bowl. However, the wicket has tended to get a bit easier as the game progresses. Interesting toss coming up.

19:25 hrs IST: The wicket at the Sawai Mansingh is known to assist the spinners less. There are some dry areas interspread with grass. The odd ball might grip. The grass is much thicker along the pitch and there might be some pace and bounce from the deck. This is a pitch that will encourage the pacers and batsmen can play their shots effortlessly, says former West Indies bowler Ian Bishop.

19:20 hrs IST: This is the 100th match for Virat Kohli as Royal Challengers Bangalore captain. He has the lowest winning percentage of 45.5 percent, which is the lowest for any captain who has captained more than 50 matches for a franchise. Can today mark a turnaround for Kohli and his franchise?

19:16 hrs IST: Nathan Coulter-Nile and Marcus Stoinis are expected to return back to the Royal Challengers Bangalore. This could mean both Moeen Ali and Colin de Grandhomme might be left out. For Rajasthan Royals, they will also be wanting to bounce back as they were denied by some individual brilliance and controversy.

19:08 hrs IST: A warm welcome to the game between Rajasthan Royals and Royal Challengers Bangalore from the Sawai Mansingh stadium in Jaipur. It is the clash between Virat Kohli and Steve Smith, two run-machines who have impressed in the modern era. Royal Challengers Bangalore are coming off a poor game against Sunrisers Hyderabad where they lost by one run, only to Jonny Bairstow's bat alone. This is a make-or-break game for both sides.
