Indian fans would have a lot to cheer about as two of their top shuttlers PV Sindhu and Saina Nehwal would be in action in the semifinals of the women's singles at the World Championships on Saturday at Glascow, Scotland.
PV Sindhu shall be taking on China’s Chen Yufei whereas Nehwal shall be locking horns against Japanese Nozomi Okuhara with an aim to make it to the title clash on Sunday. Sindhu had it easy against China's Sun Yu, beating her 21-14, 21-9 in their quarterfinal encounter on Friday.
Meanwhile Saina Nehwal battled hard against Scotland's Kirsty Gilmour to seal the match in three hard fought games 21-19, 18-21, 21-15. Saina shall take to the court first as her semifinal clash against Okuhara, with the match begining at 6 pm IST. Sindhu shall play the second semis against Chen Yufei on Sunday at around 12:30 am.
