Star Indian Shuttler PV Sindhu on Sunday defeated her Japanese opponent Nozomi Okuhara to win Korea Open Super Series 2017. She became the first Indian Badminton Player to win Korean Super Series title.

This was the third Super Series title for Sindhu overall. She had won the China Super Series title in 2016.

Sindhu shall pocket USD 45000 as prize money for winning the Korea Open Super Series 2017 tournament.

Sindhu avenged her loss to the Japanese shuttler in the 2017 BWF World championships at Glasgow in August. Sindhu has been in phenomenal form this season.

Earlier, She had won the Indian Open Super Series title and the Syed Modi Grand Prix Gold title.
