WWE is all set to present the 31st edition of Royal Rumble on Sunday. This year is quite special as the for the first time ever women superstars will have their own rumble match.

Superstars from Raw and Smackdown will compete for an opportunity to earn a women’s championship match at Wrestlemania 34. Currently there only 19 active women wrestlers (excluding Alexa Bliss and Charlotte Flair) on the main roster who are eligible to compete in the match.

This only means NXT superstars and former WWE women wrestlers will make an appearance at the Rumble. According to media reports, WWE is planning to introduce Lita as one of the surprise entrants.

Lita who was known for her high-flying skills captured the WWE women’s title four times during her tenure with the company. The Florida native was inducted into the WWE Hall of fame in 2014.

The ‘Queen of Extreme’ and Trish Stratus together gave some of the most memorable matches in WWE’s history. They were the first two women to main event WWE’s flagship programme RAW.

Lita recently served as the commentator for WWE’s Mae Young Classic tournament alongside Jim Ross. Speculations about her Royal Rumble potential appearance started making rounds after she didn’t appear at the 25th-anniversary celebrations of RAW.

We definitely believe that Lita will get the loudest cheer at Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, in case she stages a comeback to the ring.
