New Delhi:

The road to Wrestle mania for WWE superstars has never been a straight path and an element of surprise takes the very best of the mean machines off guard. WWE true to its tradition in delivering a surprise package to its fans at the very last moment announced the first ever 7-man Elimination Chamber match ahead of the Universal title match at the showpiece event in April.

Seth Rollins and Finn Balor joined Roman Reigns, John Cena, Elias, The Miz and Braun Strauman in the 7-man elimination chamber match, the winner of battle shall take on Broc Lesner for the Universal title at Wrestle Mania.

Raw General Manager Kurt Angle opened up a can of beans by announcing the first-ever 7-man Elimination Chamber after both Finn Bálor and Seth Rollins simultaneously pinned Bray Wyatt in the Fatal Five battle.

The Fatal four contest which served as a qualifying match to decide the final entrant into the elimination chamber turned into Fatal Five content after Seth Rollins pleaded RAW manager Kurt Angle to be added to the chamber. All five men – Balor, Apollo Crews, Matt Hardy, Wyatt and Rollins – started on a level playing field with Rollins and Wyatt pinned as hot favorites.

Balor got entangled in a fight between Rollins and Wyatt which turned into a showdown between Rollins-Hardy and Wyatt-Balor. Eventually, Balor and Rollins strategically teamed up to launch an attack on Crews and Wyatt. In the midst of the confusing act, Wyatt suffered a simultaneous pinfall from both The Kingslayer and The Extraordinary Man.

The contest ended in a stalemate as Raw went off air without a winner being declared. In a post-Raw confrontation on Facebook Live, Angle declared that both Rollins and Bálor would be allowed into the Chamber, turning the bout into a 7-man contest for the first time ever.

Here are the other major results from WWE Raw:
