Indian shuttler Saina Nehwal finally tied the knot with her long-time boyfriend Parupalli Kashya on December 14. Both the sports personalities have been dating each other for a long time now. Earlier, as per a report published in The Times of India, the marriage of the badminton duo was a private affair with just with just 100 guests on the invitation list. A close source also said, "Both families had been planning the wedding for a while now. Now they have finalised the date. The arrangements are all for December 14’’.
Kashyap, a 2014 Commonwealth Games gold medallist and Olympic bronze winner Saina have reportedly been in the relationship with each other for over a decade now. However, they always maintained that they were just friends and practice partners.Â
A movie is also been made based on the life of star Indian shuttler and the actress who will be seen portraying the role of Saina is Shraddha Kapoor. Helmed by Amol Gupte, the film went on floor on September 22.
Speaking about her role in the upcoming biopic, Shraddha said, "I have already clocked 40 classes of badminton in preparation for this biopic. It's a really tough sport, but I am enjoying myself. To get an insight into the life of a sportsperson is fascinating. Saina's journey itself is so interesting, right from her misses to her injuries and victories''.
