New Delhi:
Indian pacer Ishant Sharma, English batting great Kevin Pietersen and South African pace ace Dale Steyn are among some of the high profile names to be released by their respective franchises ahead of the 10th season of cash rich Indian Premier League.
The transfer and release window for the upcoming season of the lucrative Indian Premier League on December 15.
As many as 63 cricketers have been released by eight franchises, while around 140 players including 44 overseas players have been retained for IPL season 10.
Rising Pune Supergiants (11 players), Royal Challengers Bangalore (10 players) and Kolkata Knight Riders (9 players) were the franchises to release a major chunk of the players.
Delhi Daredevils, who spent Rs 8.5 crore on all-rounder Pawan Negi, have set the player free after he couldn't feature in most of the matches for the team.
