Both Dhoni and Jadhav are scripting a beautiful run-chase for India is all one can say the moment. Pure class. After 44 overs, India is 200/4.
MS Dhoni and Kedar Jadhav are still at the crease as the final leg of the first encounter begins. India requires 55 runs in last nine overs, and if these two stay at the crease, the game will end way before one can expect. Post 41 overs, 182/4.
Indian batsmen have finally started to middle the ball and runs start to float for India. The partnership is now over 50 runs and looking to score even more. In 38th over, MS Dhoni struck 10 runs as India's total goes to 168/4.
The partnership notches up to 42 runs and it wouldn't be wrong to say that India is looking better than before. Both Dhoni and Kedar are into their 20s are looking well settled. The Australian team is looking a little tense now. After 35 overs, it's 147/4.
Slowly and steadily the partnership between Kedar Jadhav and MS Dhoni has notched up to 26 runs off 40 oddballs. Though the number is small, this is the hour requirement from India's perspective. Australia is eyeing for MS Dhoni to stamp their authority on the hosts. After 32 overs, India has scored 131/4.
Adam Zampa back into the attack. Dhoni and Rayudu have played over 40 balls between them and have scored half the runs. As the match is progressing, it is becoming difficult for the batting team to time the ball. After 29 overs, India is 121/4.
Now the Indian team has lost three wickets in quick succession. Kedar Jadhav has replaced Rayudu at the wicket, probably earlier that he would have expected. Dhoni and Jadhav are playing defensively and looking to build a partnership. After 26 overs, it's 110/4.

Australia started the innings on a quiet note, losing skipper Aaron Finch early in the innings. However, Marcus Stoinis along with Usman Khawaja registered an 87-run partnership to get things back on track. But once Marcus departed, the road became tougher for Australia. Mohammad Shami is having a dream day today. After registering two maiden overs at the start, Shami has picked two important wickets. First Ashton Turner and now Glenn Maxwell. After 40 overs, it's 173/6 and Australia is in trouble.
Another start for an Australian batsman but wasn't able to convert it in a big score. Shami's discipline finally paid him, bowled a good length delivery and knocked Aston Turner's wicket. Fifth WICKET down for Australia. After 38 overs, it's 169/5.
Every time it looked like Australia have a move on, India has managed to pick up a wicket or two. Kuldeep Yadav and Kedar Jadhav have assisted the conditions beautifully and managed to bowl in the right areas. With this, the duo has picked three wickets between them. After 36 overs, it's 161/4.
After Handscomb went back to the pavilion, the onus is on in-form Glenn Maxwell to take Australia to a respectable total. As of now, India is on top with Kuldeep Yadav denting opposition's middle order. After 33 overs, it's 142/4.

It wouldn't be wrong to say that they have come strongly after losing two wickets in quick succession. Jadhav bowled a short of a length delivery, and Marcus Stoinis tried to smash it over the mid-wicket fielder. However, the ball came lower the waist height and Stoinis wasn't able to time it; went straight into the hands of Virat Kohli.

Both Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammad Shami through the line and maintained all-important pressure, however, Vijay Shankar and Kuldeep Yadav haven't been able to continue that pressure going. Marcus Stoinis and Usman Khawaja have registered a 50-run stand and eyeing for more. After 14 it's 64/1.
