The West Indies fast bowler Jerome Taylor announced his retirement from the Test cricket after he was left out of the squad against India. In the 13-years of International cricket, he took 130 wickets in 46 Test matches with an average of 33.45. However, he will be available for selection in both the shorter formats.
Taylor, played his last Test at Sydney earlier this year against Australia. A natural outswinger, the right handed fast bowler made his debut at the age of 18 in 2003 against Sri Lanka. The Jamaican was out of the Test side from 2009 to 2014 due to prolong injuries but a regular in shorter formats.
His highest honour came in ICC Champions Trophy 2006, when he became the first West Indian to claim hat trick in ODIs. In 2009, he dismantled England in the 1st Test to claim 5 wickets for just 11 runs.
His best innings figures 6 for 47 against Australia in 2015 and match haul 9 for 95 against India in 2006 also came at Sabina Park. He has a Test century against his name in 2008.
