India’s own sports festival Indian Premier League is set to begin on April 5. The season opener between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Royal Challengers Bangalore on April 5, 2017 would be preceded by the ceremony.
A one of its kind, the tenth edition of the IPL will witness not one, but eight different opening ceremonies.
Every city hosting the tournament this year - Hyderabad, Bangalore, Delhi, Kolkata, Mohali, Mumbai, Pune and Rajkot - will host their own ceremony to commemorate the 10-year anniversary of the competition.
IPL opening ceremonies have proved to be a great source of entertainment in the past. Stars like Parineeti Chopra, Tiger Shroff and Shraddha Kapoor are set to put the stage on fire during the 8 separate opening ceremonies across the eight host cities.
It is also certain that some of India’s legendary cricketers including Sachin Tendulkar and Sourav Ganguly will be felicitated.
