The upcoming Indian Premier League auctions rake up big numbers, when it comes to player prices. Franchises go after the player who offer them utility. There are some bargain buys in the form of uncapped Indian players or major foreign buys who sometimes go at their base price. This Indian Premier League will be held in December and the tournament could be played much before due to the World Cup which will be held in England at the end of May. Ahead of the event, here are some of the key numbers that will define the auction this year and some numbers which have remained immortal in the auction.

346 – Number of players who will be auctioned in December. This will be held in Jaipur. 

213 – Number if uncapped players, foreign and Indian in the 2019 IPL Auction. 

0 – Number of Indians in the elite Rs 2 crore list. There are only nine players in that elite column and all are overseas players.

16 – Yuvraj Singh will remember this number for a long time. In the 2015 IPL Auctions, Yuvraj was brought by Delhi Daredevils for a whopping Rs 16 crore, making him the most expensive player ever brought in the auction. 

14.5 – This will be the dream for every overseas player. Ben Stokes, in the 2017 IPL Auction, went for Rs 14.5 crore to Rising Pune Supergiant, making him the most expensive overseas buy in this event. 

8.8 – Even uncapped players go for a massive price. Krunal Pandya, the brother of Hardik Pandya, raked in big money in the 2018 IPL Auctions when he was retained by Mumbai Indians for Rs 8.8 crore. This mark beat the previous record for an uncapped player of Rs 8.5 crore, held by Pawan Negi.

1 – One player each from the United States of America and Netherlands in this auction. Ali Khan has a base price of Rs 40 lakh while Stephan Myburgh has a base price of Rs 20 lakh.

1.5 – The highest base price for an Indian in this auction. Jaydev Unadkat, who was the most expensive Indian buy in two consecutive auctions, has a base price of Rs 1.5 crore.

2 – Number of players that Chennai Super Kings will be bidding for in this auction. They retained 23 out of 25 players.

36.2 – The available funds for Kings XI Punjab in the IPL auction, the highest among all the teams. They will be bidding for 15 slots in the team, the most for any side.
