The flamboyant Indian all-rounder Yuvraj Singh, who was the hero of the previous World Cup 2011, was discarded by Indian selectors after his shoddy performances.
The stylish left-hander was even not selected for Down Under and World Cup 2015, which raised eye brows over the selectors. But, Yuvraj came back with a bang to become the highest paid player in the IPL history and bagged record Rs 16 cr.
Meanwhile, out of favour Indian wicket keeper Dinesh Karthik also bagged mammoth Rs 10.5 cr to become the second highest paid player of the year.
