India won the toss and chose to bat with Shikhar Dhawan giving India a good start. However, South Africa fought back in the middle overs with Rohit Sharma falling cheaply and Virat Kohli falling to Kagiso Rabada. Beuran Hendricks picked up two wickets and Rabada bowled brilliantly in the death overs as South Africa restricted India to 134/9. In response, Quinton de Kock and Reeza Hendricks stitched a solid stand and the South Africa skipper led from the front with a brilliant 79, his second consecutive fifty in the series. Temba Bavuma also batted brilliantly as South Africa won the match by nine wickets.

21:21 hrs IST: Another boundary by Reeza Hendricks off Washington Sundar and South Africa are 49/0 after seven overs. India need a wicket desperately.

21:05 hrs IST: Deepak Chahar bowls well but his figures are ruined with Reeza Hendricks hitting a boundary. South Africa are 19/0 after four overs.

20:56 hrs IST: Washington Sundar and Deepak Chahar open the bowling for India. Chahar is getting some swing and he is troubling the batsmen here. After two overs, South Africa are 7/0.

20:38 hrs IST: India have ended on 134/9. Good from South Africa's bowlers and India will have to put up a similar disciplined performance.

20:34 hrs IST: WICKET! Washington Sundar finds the boundary and in an attempt to get Pandya back on strike, he is run-out. Can India cross 140. No, they can't as Hardik Pandya holes out to David Miller. India are 133/9 with one ball to go.

20:30 hrs IST: WICKET! Jadeja's cameo has come to an end. Full ball outside off and Jadeja miscues the lofted shot high to the leg side, Rabada runs and takes the catch at square leg. India are 127/7 in the 20th over.

19:50 hrs IST: Good over from Andile Phehlukwayo and only three runs come in the over. India are 79/3 after 11 overs.

19:45 hrs IST: Tabraiz Shamsi bowls a tight over as Pant and Iyer look to steady India. This is a vital stand not just in the game but for the future of these two guys. India are 76/3 after 10 overs.

19:39 hrs IST: WICKET! Rabada has his revenge and Kohli attempts the same shot that brought him glory in Mohali but it leads to failure in Bangalore. Length ball on the pads, perhaps a tad of extra bounce, Kohli whips the flick but is caught at deep midwicket. India are 68/3 after 8.3 overs.

19:33 hrs IST: WICKET! Poor shot from Dhawan and Shamsi gets his man. Flighted delivery and it spins away outside off, Dhawan attempted the slog across the line but gets a big top edge that is taken at the edge of the circle at cover by Bavuna. India are 63/2 in 7.2 overs.

19:31 hrs IST: Dhawan continues to target the South Africa bowling as he launches Bjorn Fortuin to the fine leg fence but the bowler puts down a tough chance of Kohli and almost misses out on a chance. After seven overrs, India are 62/1.

19:25 hrs IST: Score after 6 overs: IND 54-1; Kohli 3(8) Dhawan 30(20)

17:57 hrs IST: The South Africans will be aiming to make a big statement in Bangalore with some players having had experience playing here. Quinton de Kock and Kagiso Rabada have played a lot at the M Chinnaswamy stadium and their inputs will be the key if South Africa are to level the series.

17:40 hrs IST: The weather in Bangalore is not looking too promising. There are showers forecast for the evening but one would be hoping that it stays away. The drainage system at the venue is top notch and when the rain stops, the ground will be fit to play within 15-20 minutes.

17:29 hrs IST: Hello and a warm welcome to the third and final Twenty20 International between India and South Africa from the M Chinnaswamy stadium. India cannot lose the series but South Africa have a chance. This is Virat Kohli's Twenty20 playground, having featured in many matches at the M Chinnaswamy stadium.
