India will look to avoid whitewash humiliation when they lock horn against New Zealand in the third and last ODI of the three-match series at Bay Oval in Mount Maunganui on Tuesday. In their absence, the task to provide the team a good start has come on the shoulders of young Prithvi Shaw and Test opener Mayank Agarwal. So far, they have shown the glimpse of their talent but failed to fire on all cylinders. Skipper Virat Kohli, who is expected to score a hundred every time he walks out there, has also been silent with the bat and India would desperately want its main man to get going.
Colin de Grandhomme finishes the innings in grand style as he thumps a full toss from Shardul Thakur and New Zealand have wn the third and final ODI at the Bay Oval by five wickets to whitewash India 3-0. Sweet revenge taken.
Superb batting from Colin de Grandhomme. Fourth fifty for him and he finally comes good. Three fours and a six by de Grandhomme off Thakur and 20 runs come in the over. New Zealand are 293/5 after 46 overs
De Grandhomme flicks a full toss from Bumrah to the deep midwicket fence and New Zealand are 273/5 after 45 overs, needing 24 off 30 balls.
Latham walks down the track and clobbers a straight drive off Saini to the long off fence and New Zealand now need less than a run-a-ball. After 44 overs, New Zealand are 265/5, needing 32 off 36 balls.
Latham smashes a four and then de Grandhomme follows with a six and a four off Shardul as 15 runs come in the over. New Zealand are 255/5 in 43 overs, need 42 off 42 balls.
Colin de Grandhomme launches a big six off Chahal and that spoils his figures slightly. Still finishes with 10-1-47-3. After 42 overs, New Zealand are 240/5, need 57 off 48 balls.
WICKET! Chahal gets his third wicket as Neesham's woes continue. Latham holds the key along with Colin de Grandhomme as New Zealand reach 228/5 in 41 overs, need 69 off 54 balls.
