New Delhi:

In the history of First-Class cricket, only two bowlers have ever achieved the ‘Perfect 10’, which includes taking all wickets in an innings. Jim Laker, the England off-spinner was the first one to achieve this feat when he picked up 10/53 against Australia in the 1956 Ashes Test in Old Trafford, Manchester. In 1999, during the Test between India and Pakistan at the Feroz Shah Kotla in New Delhi, Indian legspinner Anil Kumble became the second to achieve this monumental feat when he picked up 10/74 to give India a famous win. Now, in an U-19 Cooch Behar Trophy tournament, an 18-year-old Manipur bowler, Rex Rajkumar Singh, picked up a haul of 10/11 from 9.5 overs in his side’s clash against Arunachal Pradesh.

According to the ICC website, Rex Rajkumar Singh bowled six maidens in his 9.5 overs and picked up figures of 10/11. His dismissal summary included five batsmen getting bowled while two were LBW. Two were caught behind while one was dismissed in the outfield. Arunachal Pradesh, who had secured a lead of 16 runs in the first innings, was dismissed for a woeful 36 at the Rural Development Trust Stadium in Anantapur and Manipur won the game by 10 wickets.
